*Looking forward to 2021! CTE high school students from across the Upper Peninsula showcase their skills!

Northern Michigan University, in collaboration with the Upper Peninsula Construction Council and the
Marquette-Alger RESA, will hold the annual U.P. CTE Skills Challenge at the Jacobetti Complex on the campus of NMU!

The Challenge will judge each student team or individual effort in various CTE occupational fields.

Previous year's events included Construction, CAD, Automotive Service Technology, Welding and Culinary competitions.

Students will be tested on their knowledge of the skills required in these occupational fields.

Students have the potential of winning a traveling trophy, medals, plaques, certificates, scholarships, gift cards, work clothes and tools!

When not competing, students will have the opportunity to experience simulators, explore career and educational pathways, network with employers, educators and peers, and learn about all the technological sciences.

Teachers will have the opportunity to visit an active construction site and learn about the newest techniques and technology in their fields.

Instructors interested in bringing a team or multiple teams must contact Brian Sarvello by email or phone 226 - 5135 on or before the March deadline.

Specific needs and other information will be sent following team registration.

Participation is limited so register early!
